Building a community with students to professionals allows us to connect with each other when coming up up with new ideas or insights. Modeling after many other STEM organizations, having a network of like-minded individuals will boost potential that goes beyond the norm by creating projects together while also finding people who are genuinely interested in your work. Holding events, talking to professionals, and blogging all come down to creating a network and connect to help with your personal initiatives. It is an incredible opportunity to advance your own personal network and can even outreach to professionals for internships or have a 10 minute talk with peers about debates and issues in your current STEM topic

Matching professionals with students gives students acts of empowerment and independence to be able to connect with professional individuals and brings our community together.
